Gungahlin is the area of far northern suburbs of Canberra, and also a suburb within this area.
We have been operating in Gungahlin since 2004.
Ngunnawal is the name of the Indigenous people of the Canberra region. 8th Canberra has had fun trying out a number of games that Australia's Indigenous people have played over many years. These are not dissimilar to many familiar games. You can learn them too thanks to Ausport and the Australian Government...http://www.ausport.gov.au/participating … nous/games
Here we are canoeing on Yerrabi Pond in December 2007...
Here we are on parade at our Display night in 2008...
As well as these types of activities, we have enjoyed, cooking, craft, billy carts, night hikes through our local bush (Canberra is "the bush capital"), movie nights, camping, woodwork and music.
We join with the Canberra Territorial District Council for games nights, sleepovers and fantastic camping down on the south coast.
We have also shared with 16th Canberra Girls (our local GB company) in Church parades.
