A Message from the PAC 17 Director

On 6 July 2009 it will be only 18 months until PAC 17, the BB Tasmanian
Adventure starts in Melbourne and we set sail across Bass Strait for a balmy
overnight crossing before tying up at Devonport next morning, disembarking,
then take the short drive to Camp Clayton at Ulverstone where a top Tassie
breakfast will be served and away we go!

At the recent Boys' Brigade Australia Conference on the June long weekend
the PAC 17 Committee members had a sneak preview of the 29,000 tonne Spirit
of Tasmania which was at Devonport. Our hosts gave an exclusive tour of the
Ship featuring the food and dining areas, lounges, ocean-view recliners,
movie room, souvenir shop, open deck areas and of-course the cabins. You can
discover much more about the Ships on

Camp Clayton has a high standard of cabins/rooms with ensuites, huge range
of on-site activities, heaps of locations for Camp Companies to meet, extra
large gym and hall, special locations for on-line stuff, fun stuff and of
course, food-stuff, in fact lots of food stuff. We will also be offering
tent options at a lower cost.

There are lots of images of the site taken at the BBA Conference. Just
remember to climate change the scene by substituting summer for winter and
adding some extra degrees for January 2011. Our next update will feature
some of the Tassie style electives available.
